LUPOTOP® P1 is an innovative solution for streamlining the ingot casting process. By combining two steps into one, LUPOTOP® P1 helps reduce smoke development and energy leakage while selectively releasing heat into the block head, resulting in improved quality of the steel block. With the traditional process, a classic exothermic masking powder is first applied, which quickly brings the highest temperatures but also radiates them in all directions, resulting in strong fumes. In the second step, the insulating powder, usually rice husk ash, must be applied to slow down the development of smoke.
